May's Amplify Ambassador

Congratulations Aimee for being our May Ambassador!

Ambassador Networking Los Angeles

Congratulations to Aimee Haynes for being our May Ambassador!

At Amplify, we feature our ambassadors, who are women that we think embody and represent the spirit and values of The Amplify Collective.

May’s Ambassador is Aimee Haynes, who is a respected attorney who principally serves technology start-ups, emerging small companies and local businesses in the Santa Monica area. In addition, Aimee has just recently been published on No Bubblegum, a health and wellness website. As part of being May’s Ambassador, we interviewed Aimee and asked her a couple questions about her life and the Amplify Collective!

What does it look like for you to live an amplified life?

My version of an amplified life includes all of the following:

·  Choice, Autonomy, Flexibility

·  Waking up knowing that the things you have coming up for the day, you really want to do.

·  Travel – explorations of new places, ideas, and ways to see the world

·  Quiet time where I am engaged in an activity like reading that lets me spend time fully engrossed in something that I make the choice to engross myself in

·  Having encouraging, positive cheerleaders on my team in times of good and bad

· Giving back with my skills to others that can benefit, rather than being stingy with what I share with others.

Starting in January, I made choices to seriously change my direction in my career. Since making those choices, I have felt each day that I am leading an amplified life.

How has the idea of “un-networking” impacted your everyday life?

I’m not sure that un-networking has impacted my everyday life. I think that my everyday life always included un-networking, and that I’ve just now found a tribe that believes in the same type of relationships that I like to build with people that I encounter in my life.

Are there any practices or mantras that you use daily to amplify your life and empower yourself?

I use the mantra “Don’t think, just do.” I’m a person who can get so inside my own head that I will just fret and fret over a decision or where to start, so I use this mantra whenever I’m in my own head as a reminder to get moving on something rather than dither indefinitely.

What are you excited to create for the rest of the year?

I’m excited to create a second business that is scalable. I’m kind of impressed with myself because I came up with a totally viable business. I never thought of myself as creative person or an idea person, which is why I’m extra excited to be doing something that isn’t simply a derivative of a professional degree.

What is something you never leave the house without?

Vaseline: I use it on my lips and as a moisturizer. I have little Vaseline containers stashed everywhere.  I might forget my keys, my wallet, my ID, my phone, or any of a million other things that I should keep an eye on, but never do I get far without Vaseline. I’m always a little amazed when I tell people how it’s pretty much a miracle cream, because they look down on it’s benefits since it doesn’t have fancy packaging or has been around since forever, but I guarantee that it’s the cheapest and best beauty product that you’re not using.
