July's Amplify Ambassador

Congratulations to Dorothy-Inez Del Tufo for being our July Ambassador!

At AMPLIFY, we feature our Coterie Member's as ambassadors, who are women that we think embody and represent the spirit and values of The Amplify Collective.

If you have attended an AMPLIFY event and you left feeling on FIRE, one of the reasons is probably because you had a chance to meet Dorothy-Inez. She is one badass woman with a big personality and shine to match. We love everything about her and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her as our ambassador this month!

1. What does it look like for you to live an amplified life?

When you look at the meaning of the word "amplify," it’s about increasing the volume, turning things up, magnifying, and becoming more intense.  For me, that's what living an amplified life is about. It's about uniquely standing out, turning up the volume of my message, being bold and fearless enough to share it and ask for what what I need to make things things happen.  I can't live an amplified life being stuck in fear and dimming my light.  The amplified life is about being a light and brightly shining it!

2. How has the idea of “un-networking” impacted your everyday life?

The un-networking concept has truly impacted the way I look at other networking communities and how I connect with women on a daily basis.  Before I used to think, who are you, what do you do and how can you help me.  With un-networking, I think, who are you, how did you get there and let be friends!  I have found that authentically connecting with other women leads to true friendships, support and potential business collaborations because we know, like and trust each other.  I no longer look at a woman and think, "What can you do for me?", I now think about creating a connection and serving in a real way.

3. Why did you decide to join The Amplify Collective?

Two names, Bri and Thais.  Not to suck up, but for real!  These girls are half my age but I fell in love with their fire and vision.  I am all about building relationships.  Networking the old school way doesn't work for me or my personality, I am seriously a Millennial at heart.  In the Amplify Collective, it's a real and raw approach to networking.  No BS.  It's totally about getting to know the heart of the women in the community.  We talk about things that matter to women and it knits our hearts together on a deep level.  It doesn't matter how old you are or what you do as long as you have a heart to serve and be real; you are welcome.  Bri and Thais are all about keeping it real and that rubs off on you.

4. How do you handle failure + setbacks?

This is simple.  In my world, there are no "failures or setbacks," only lessons.  I teach the women I serve that everyday they wake up, school is in session. It's all a matter of perspective.  You can look at situations as "failure or setbacks" or you can choose to ask God, "What do you want me to learn from this?"  Everything we go through is preparation and training for our great work in the world.  I used to get upset about things and when I realized that everything worked out for my good, I no longer stress and neither should you! Be grateful for every "failure + setback" there is purpose in it; God's purpose and it all works out.
